Job Description

You’ll be responsible for producing, finishing, packaging, and coordinating the distribution of a variety of printed materials that support store operations and internal business partners. This role ensures the timely delivery of high-quality print products by operating and maintaining digital print and finishing equipment, managing multiple projects, and adhering to established production standards. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:

  • Operate digital press, wide-format printing, cutting, and finishing equipment to produce labels, signage, paper, and vinyl materials.
  • Complete all aspects of print production, including: printing, cutting, laminating, finishing, packaging, and shipping.
  • Monitor equipment performance and output quality throughout the production process to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Interpret and execute designs, layouts, and production specifications with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.
  • Utilize PC and Mac-based systems and software to prepare, process, and manage print jobs.
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and internal clients to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  • Contribute to overall team success by taking on additional related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

  • Typically requires post-secondary education in Graphic Communications, Printing Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience operating digital press equipment, wide-format printers, and print shop finishing equipment, including laminators and guillotines.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including: Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Strong working knowledge of both PC and Mac operating environments.
  • Experience with Fiery print management software and other RIP engines.
  • Knowledge of colour management processes, including ICC profiles and colour-matching software, considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment that involves extended periods of standing, repetitive movement or tasks, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working amid warehouse noise and interruptions.  
  • Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
