Job description

General Function: Operating metal stamping presses safely to make quality products.
Job Duties
  • Safely operate metal stamping presses by manually feeding steel blanks onto the die for forming, placing the part on the die to trim, and placing the part on the die for piercing(s).
  • Filling out press cards as required.
  • Accurately and timely complete tags, check sheets, and reports.
  • Responsible for keeping the area clean and participating in plant clean-up.
  • Work in a team environment -- work with other employees.
  • Follow company policies and safety policies, and practice safe work habits.
  • Follow all JIB Procedures. Notify your supervisor if anything goes wrong with the machine, die, or parts. Operators are not permitted to fix machines or put their hands in the dies to remove parts.
  • Other duties as assigned
Work Environment
    In a manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes are required.
    Physical Component(s)
    Standing up to 8 hours, lifting, pushing, and continuously pulling up to 40 pounds, some bending, and walking.
    Education Requirements
    High School Diploma or GED
    Previous stamping press experience helpful, not mandatory
    Other Requirements
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Capable of taking directives and following instructions.
    • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
    • Capable of completing the proper paperwork. – Must be able to read and write in English.
    • Excellent attendance
    • Communicate with coworkers and team leaders in English.
    • Safety and quality-oriented.
    • Ability to work overtime as required by the company
    • Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screen test.
