Job description

Job Description:

The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to produce quality products in accordance with production schedules and specifications. This position ensures compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The Machine Operator monitors product quality, maintains production records, and works closely with supervisors and team members to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving plant Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety, cGMP, SQF and quality compliance while performing all daily tasks.
  • Responsible for operation of production equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Vision Systems
    • UTC Printing systems, including Promotions
    • Desco Printing systems
    • All Sacmi and JB Tool Assembly Machines
  • Ensure all equipment is operating within the established operating parameters.
  • Ensure all product is produced according to the quality control plans and quality standards:
    • Perform all required testing and document accurately
    • Communicate any issues to the team coordinator and document in proper systems
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained during machine repairs & troubleshooting by performing quality checks.
  • Responsible for completing all order changes accurately and efficiently and documenting all actions.
  • Provide assistance for isolations of non-conforming products.
  • Responsible for performing specific daily cleaning per the Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • May be assigned to special projects to support plant goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must have completed High School or GED
  • Certification in a mechanical curriculum is desired.
  • Must be a detailed oriented person
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including weekends
  • Must be able to communicate exceptionally well, verbally and written.
  • Must have knowledge of desktop computers and various software.
