Job description

Description:

The General Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production, primarily in Press and Bindery.


This is a great opportunity to receive training with multiple production machines. The ideal candidate will be an energetic go-getter who excels in a fast-paced environment, and is seeking an opportunity to learn, develop, and advance within the company.


On the job training for our operation will be provided. First or second shift position, seasonal overtime may be required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines may include the press, bindery, and mailing inserter machines, with other machines assigned dependent on experience


General Duties

  • Reviews department schedule and production order details to determine job specifications including deadline for completion
  • Sets up and operates equipment
  • Loads and unloads material from machines
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times
  • Assist with other day-to-day operations of the machine
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Must be a motivated self-starter and eager to learn, grow, and seek future promotion
  • Must be organized, mechanically inclined, and be able to maintain attention to detail
  • Must be able to follow instructions, be teachable, and able to multi-task
  • Must be able to repeated life and re-stack up to 50 lbs through a work shift
