Job description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of Material Handler experience.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks as required, following proper shipping and receiving practices.
  • Unload materials and products from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places.
  • Create packing slips, Bills of Lading (BOL), part tags, and barcode labels.
  • Follow computer-generated load schemes to stage loads for the following day as required.
  • Locate and move stock of products for storage or shipment.
  • When receiving material from outside suppliers, input all receipts into the ERP system and generate all lot tags.
  • Generate bar code labels using the company ERP program as required.
  • Perform cycle counts as required to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Ensure that all process centers have a sufficient supply of raw materials.
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations.
  • Remove skids of finished components from the work centers and stage them in the proper assigned locations.
  • Perform daily safety checks, notify the Supervisor of any deficiencies, and operate the tow-motor in a safe manner.
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Inspect two motors daily, report machinery for any safety deficiencies, and advise supervision of any issues.
  • Dispose of all waste in proper containers and recycle and/or reuse all possible items to minimize the impact on the environment.
