Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Function: Closing of mattresses using Auto Tape Edger or Manual Tape Edge machine
Specific Responsibilities:
- Alignment of panels, border and tape to stitch along mattress
- Work with ATE or MTE, able to operate and perform minor operator maintenance
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure mattresses fit for packing are sent to packing conveyor
- Report machine issues to Supervisor
Functional/Technical Competencies
Experience/Education
- Ability to read, write and understand English proficiently
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills desired
- Production line experience helpful however not required
- Attention to detail is a must
- Effective organization and planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively in a safe manner
