Principal Accountabilities:

  • Operate salt conveying equipment to load pneumatic trucks
  • Conduct inspections and use appropriate safety equipment to open truck hatches
  • Operate heavy mobile equipment, including railcar movers; open railcar doors and lids
  • Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and railcars, and transport products within the warehouse
  • Utilize SAP and other computer software systems
  • Ensure product quality through inspection and testing
  • Repalletize or dispose of distressed or damaged product
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Collect samples and perform quality testing
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays with little to no prior notice
  • Perform additional departmental tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic use of a computer
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
  • Prior experience in production-related work
  • Forklift operating experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Experience operating railcar movers
  • Experience with SAP and/or HMI systems
