Machine Operator Adairsville, GA

Nippon Light Metal Georgia, Inc. (NLM) is seeking Machine Operators to join our growing operation in Adairsville, Georgia. As we continue building the foundation of our company, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to safe, efficient, and consistent production from the ground up.

NLM is a comprehensive manufacturer of aluminum products with offerings ranging from aluminum raw material to fabricated products. Our goal is to support continued growth and business expansion by creating new value for our customers.

In this role, Machine Operators will be cross-trained on multiple machines and will be responsible for setting up and operating assigned equipment to prepare automobile parts throughout the production process. This position is well suited for someone who works steadily, follows established procedures, and takes pride in producing reliable, high-quality output.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate assigned machines according to established procedures, safety requirements, and production standards
  • Conduct visual inspections specific to each machine before the start of shift and periodically throughout the shift
  • Follow the production schedule established by the Production Manager to support consistent workflow and output
  • Monitor equipment operation and product output to help maintain quality and identify issues promptly
  • Contribute to the production of quality products by following defined quality procedures and work instructions
  • Notify supervisors and maintenance of equipment concerns and assist with troubleshooting within defined guidelines
  • Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality records as required
  • Effectively and safely operate assigned tools and equipment, including a band saw, drill press, lathe, and tensile tester
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred

  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures preferred

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and use hands to manipulate, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls
  • The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, and crouch
  • The employee must be able to speak and hear and must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to auto focus
  • Must be able to work through climate changes, including extreme heat and cold temperatures
