Job description

  • Operates a line of multiple spindle screw machines, after set-up has been made by set-up person and checked, checking for quality of parts.
  • Responsible for maintaining production levels and quality standards.
  • Maintain tool log sheets.
  • Remove, sharpen and reset tools as necessary.
  • Load bar-stock and pull chips as necessary.
  • Performs all SPC charting as required for a specific job or group of machines.
  • Makes adjustments and minor repairs to machines as necessary.
  • Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follow yellow pan and containment process
  • Adhere to FOD requirements
  • Perform assigned Preventive Maintenance Tasks
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

This is an Hourly Non exempt role with a pay range from $20 to $26/hr. depending on level of experience and skills.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Two years previous machine operator experience or successful completion of screw machine operator training program.
  • Basic math skills, including ability to use micrometers and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Ability to inspect parts, visual acuity
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long period of time
  • Ability to work from a ladder/stairs.
  • Complete daily operator documentation
