Volt is immediately hiring for Machine Operators & Assemblers in Rainsville, AL
As a Manufacturing Associate you will:
Machine Operator:
  • This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
    Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Review specifications to select and obtain the appropriate tools, arbors, wire gauge, insulators, and materials.
  • Plan work sequences and perform limited setups and adjustments on semi? Automatic and bench lathe winding machines while maintaining close tolerances.
  • Adjust limit switches, arbors, discs, wire guides, pitch, number of turns, wire tension, travel, and belt or pulley combinations to meet product specifications.
  • Operate a variety of coil winding equipment, including hand? Guided bench lathe machines and two? Layer coil winding equipment such as Bachi, Broomfield, and hand winders.
  • Insert insulators and tape, splice and solder wire, pull wire for taps, and operate hydraulic presses to form coils according to specifications.
  • Wind prototype coils as prescribed, identify potential issues, and suggest methods or techniques to improve results when specifications are not met.
  • Participate in physical inventory activities as required.
    Use lift assistance devices when handling products weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Meet established efficiency, quality, and productivity standards.
    Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards within the work area. Day to Day Responsibilities

Assembler:
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Bend, shape, cut, and solder wires and lugs according to specifications.
    Attach wires using lungs and crimps to ensure proper connections.
  • Sand wires as part of the preparation and finishing process.
    Pull lead wires and apply sleeve as required.
  • Operate pneumatic and hydraulic crimping tools safely and effectively.
    Use lift assistance devices when handling products weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Participate in physical inventory activities as needed.
    Meet established efficiency, quality, and productivity standards.

This is a Temp to Permanent Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment.
Experience working with winding machines, lathes, or similar production equipment.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Shift Times:
6:00AM-2:30PM with some mandatory OT. We would be very interested in people who have shift flexibility as we are starting our 2nd shift soon. Must be able to follow processes and visual aids
Pay Rate: $15.00/ per hour
