About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery to join our team at our Ancaster bakery. As an Operator 1, you will be accountable for supporting essential production tasks across packaging, material handling, boiler operations, and tote management. Your work ensures efficient workflow, safe operations, and consistent foodquality standards throughout the bakery.

  • Shift: Rotating Continental
  • Weekend availability: Required

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $24.29

 

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

  • Support production workflow by executing packaging, material handling, boiler, and totemanagement tasks
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas in alignment with GMPs and foodsafety standards
  • Assist machine operators and support continuous line efficiency across assigned areas
  • Operate assigned equipment safely and perform routine checks to maintain product quality
  • Accurately complete required production documentation and communicate effectively with Leads and Supervisors
  • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and readiness to assist in multiple production tasks
  • Respond quickly to equipment or process issues and escalate concerns as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Good oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work 12hour shifts and overtime as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable, punctual, and adaptable in fastpaced environments
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to pass a clear criminal background check (or has received a pardon)

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to make minor equipment adjustments
  • Previous experience in a foodmanufacturing production environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience operating materialhandling equipment (training provided)
