Job Description:

About the Role:

The primary function of the Machine Operator position is to monitor packaging equipment, fill feeders, and perform quality checks on packaging according to product specifications. This role requires observing all safety regulations, ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met, and maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

Obtain a work schedule from the supervisor and communicate with the previous shift operator and maintenance team to prepare for operations, walk the line and complete a pre-operation checklist.
Monitor packaging equipment to ensure line speed and controls are running according to product specifications.
Keep the line properly supplied by obtaining appropriate materials (e.g., correct film), positioning them at the station, filling feeders, and maintaining levels, ensure the glue bins and carton magazines are full.
Limit downtime by reporting equipment problems to maintenance for troubleshooting and resolution.
Communicate with crew leaders, supervisors, and maintenance to manage orders to completion successfully.

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 2nd shift, which operates from 2:15 PM to 10:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:0 AM Monday through Friday. Shift differential included.

Experience operating packaging or similar equipment and demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills to identify and address issues promptly.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and to read, write and communicate fluently in English
Ability to stand for extended periods, Capability to lift and move items weighing 25-50 lbs, work in a fast-paced, high-production environment.
