Job description

Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description

As a Machine Operator, you will report directly to the Shift Leader and Operations Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate loading and unloading of correct parts, quantities, and test pieces. You will also be responsible for completing all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Load, lift, and wire parts to fixtures.
  • Follow all PPE requirements, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and masks as required.
  • Safely lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead lifting equipment (training provided).
  • Learn and operate furnace equipment in accordance with procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and yard.
  • Work effectively in both hot and cold environments.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company safety, quality standards, and policies.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment (machine operating, general labour).
  • Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a hot environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with production, general labor, furnace, machine operation, and heat treatment is beneficial.

Work Environment
