Please note- this is a Monday - Friday 3am- 11:30am shift
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To manufacture and produce quality feed products as directed, through established procedures and approved processes; handle incoming, binned, and outgoing grain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stack bagged grain
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks
• Make periodic inspections of all stored grain
• Make inspections of stored grain as requested by Feed Mill Supervisor
• Be familiar with manufacturing processes and procedures
• Ensure floor organization and plant cleanliness
• Ensure floor stocking levels are met
• Assist or fill in for machine operators when necessary
• Greet customers promptly and courteously with a friendly smile, say hello, and thank them for their business
• Assist customers with unloading and loading of feed
• Answer phone in a prompt and courteous manner, as necessary
• Attend meetings as requested
• Uphold all cooperative policies and procedures
• Perform other tasks and duties as requested by the Mill Supervisor , Feed Mill Manager, or Director of Operations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
