Job description

Job Title: Strip Line Operator
Shift: 1st or 2nd shift

Position Summary: This position is responsible for operating multiple machines and overseeing the chemical stripping line.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow verbal and written instructions from the Supervisor and adhere to internal policies, procedures, and standards of behavior.

  • Operate the chemical stripping line.

  • Perform grit blasting and/or water jet blasting.

  • Operate furnaces.

  • Blend parts as needed.

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • Ensure the production schedule is met.

  • Submit purchase requests to the supervisor for necessary items.

  • Possess a basic understanding of process controls and the Quality Management System (QMS).

Additional Duties:

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Assist teammates as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Utilize basic computer skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Mechanical aptitude is required.

  • Proper handling of parts.

  • Understanding of the quality system and its requirements related to the position.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools.

  • Adherence to proper safety guidelines and use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to sit or stand at a workstation or machine for extended periods.
