JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $26.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations. They must have a thorough knowledge of production techniques and the ability to produce quality-building components and parts.

  • Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage 
  • Assist co-workers and customers
  • Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment
  • Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas
  • Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Pace – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication – Effective communication abilities.
  • Physical Stamina – Ability to lift and move heavy items, often requiring the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Attention to Detail – Ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is managed correctly.
  • Organizational Skills – Efficiently organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Teamwork – Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
