Overall Responsibility

The Shipper Receiver operates as a point of contact and final checkpoint for all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all labels and documents are completed accurately and efficiently. Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalanced forklift, to move, load and unload materials throughout the manufacturing facility.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Materials

  • Safely and efficiently pilot a counterbalanced forklift to move, load and unload materials in an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct daily inspection of the forklift ensuring any safety concerns are reported promptly after operating the vehicle.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments through CMS (AS400 system).
  • Create bill of ladings and bar code labels as per customer specifications in CMS (AS400system).
  • Manage pallets throughout the plant ensuring appropriate set up and packaging for shipment.
  • Diligently problem solve to ensure minimal material handling and ensure machines are supplied to run a peek capacities.
  • Independently and proactively empty scrap bins throughout the facility.
  • Follow all material handling policies and procedures ensuring material is stored efficiently to support production activities.
  • Accurately fill out and submit shift reports on a daily basis.
  • Assist with program changeovers providing assistance where necessary.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane to move material and machine parts.
  • Fulfill all requirements as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Other

  • Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
  • Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.
  • Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Materials

  • Hold a valid Forklift license with no major accidents on record.
  • Certified or previous training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods would be an asset
  • Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP system
