Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator sets up and runs a dedicated punch press line, performing light maintenance, part changes, and basic troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly. This role uses hand and power tools regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a dedicated punch press line safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Perform very light maintenance on machines, including basic adjustments and minor repairs as needed.
  • Change out parts and tooling on the punch press according to production requirements and instructions.
  • Use hand and power tools confidently to complete daily tasks and equipment adjustments.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify basic mechanical issues, and escalate more complex problems when necessary.
  • Handle and move materials and parts, consistently lifting up to 50 lbs as required.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of hands-on machine operating experience.
  • Experience operating production machinery, preferably punch press, hydraulic, or die-press machines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how machines and components function.
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or similar environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience on hydraulic or die-press machines is a strong plus.
