Second shift hours are 2:30 pm to 12:30 am Monday - Thursday, Friday off.
On the job training available if you have experience with CNC machinery.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Perforation Line Operator will primarily be involved with the set up, operation, and maintenance of the perforation machine, shear, and surface grinder. The position focuses on the perforation work centers producing perforated metal sheets and preparing them for the next work steps.

Essential Functions Statements
  • Knowledge and hands-on operation of specialized perforation machinery including programming, setup, and maintenance.
  • Operating the perforation machine to produce and level perforated sheet metal and place it on pallets for the next work center.
  • Loading and unloading steel coils with the overhead crane to the production floor and into the perforation machine.
  • Operate shear to cut parts in accordance with the blueprint specifications.
  • Utilize the surface grinder to assure punches are sharpened to stamp perforated sheets.
  • Provide maintenance and minor repairs on tools, dies, and machines.
  • Set up tool & dies and other production necessities to produce "0 defect" parts.
  • Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education: High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.

Experience:
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in metal fabrication including machine operation and tooling.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
  • Highly motivated and willing to work extended hours.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
