Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Perforation Line Operator to support metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining perforation machinery, preparing perforated metal sheets, and ensuring parts meet quality and production standards. This position offers a stable manufacturing environment, hands-on equipment operation, and long-term career potential for experienced operators.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, operate, and maintain specialized perforation machinery.
  • Operate perforation lines to produce and level perforated sheet metal.
  • Load and unload steel coils using an overhead crane.
  • Place finished perforated sheets onto pallets for the next work center.
  • Operate shears to cut parts according to blueprint specifications.
  • Use surface grinders to sharpen punches required for perforation processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines, tools, and dies.
  • Set up tooling and work areas to produce zero-defect parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Accurately complete production documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication, machine operation, or tooling.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on equipment experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as production requires.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in low- to mid-volume metal fabrication environments.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing shop-floor environment with moderate noise levels. The position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling materials throughout the shift. Work is conducted during the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
