About the Internship
The People & Culture Management Internship offers students the opportunity to apply management and organizational leadership concepts in a real-world, mission-driven environment. This position supports initiatives that strengthen our workplace culture, enhance employee experience and engagement, and advance people-centered systems across our companies.
This role provides practical experience in organizational communication, cross company, stakeholder, and community engagement, project coordination, and people analytics while exploring how inclusive management drives business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementation support of organizational people and culture initiatives.
• Support Employee Resource Group (ERG) engagement, communications, and event logistics.
• Collect and analyze employee engagement and participation data.
• Draft materials such as newsletters, reports, and internal communications.
• Collaborate on special projects connecting people, performance, and inclusion.
• Participate in regular check-ins with the DEI Director for mentorship and professional growth.
Learning Outcomes:
The intern will:
• Gain hands-on experience applying management theory to a multi-company organizational culture.
• Strengthen communication, project/change management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understand the role of leadership and inclusion in organizational effectiveness.
• Develop portfolio-ready materials and contribute measurable impact to a people-focused business strategy.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in the areas of Business, Human Services Leadership, Gender Studies, or similar major
• Completion of or enrolled in classes related to Gender and Diversity in Management OR Leading Management of Diversity and Inclusion in Organizations
• Experience creating and organizing resources and content, with working knowledge of tools such as Excel and digital design platforms (e.g., Canva or Adobe).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Interest in people operations, leadership development, and organizational culture.
Location: Lafayette, Indiana (Hybrid)
- May consider Interns within 2 hours of Lafayette
