Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable individual to join our second shift as a Shop Operator. In this role, you'll work hands-on with machined parts, assist in running lathes, horizontal mills, hydraulic saws, and get the opportunity to operate robot-fed vertical mills. This is a perfect position for someone looking to break into the machining field with the opportunity to grow and be promoted from within.
Responsibilities:
• Operate saws and prepare raw materials per job specifications
• Assist CNC machinists in machine setup and operation
• Deburr and sand machined parts using tools and finishing equipment
• Track inventory and material usage in logs and spreadsheets
• Perform routine maintenance on saws and workspace
• Move materials safely using appropriate tools/equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop area
• Follow all company safety protocols and standard procedures
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and stand for extended periods
• Basic math and computer skills; Excel experience a plus
