Negotiate Maintain awareness of world markets and emerging material or logistics related issues in the industry and position the supply chain to flexibly respond accordingly.Continually assesses risk of supply chain and identifies & implements approaches to reduce risk.**Required Skills/Abilities:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills Ability to function well in a high-paced environment **Education and Experience:** * College degree in business, materials management, supply chain or related field* 5+ years’ experience in purchasing and planning in an industrial manufacturing environment* 2+ years’ supervisory experience* Working knowledge of all laws and regulations relating to procurement and contracts* Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systems* Knowledge of project specific execution will be an added advantage**Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:**Halma is a global group of life-saving technology companies, focused on growing a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.
