Johnson Electric is seeking skilled Machine Shop Technicians to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components while meeting productivity, safety, and quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for machinists who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have experience with CNC machining, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Produce precision machined parts while adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Select and utilize appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters.
  • Perform machining operations such as turning, milling, boring, threading, tapping, drilling, and facing.
  • Calculate offsets and make machine adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop.
Our Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of machining, CNC operation, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Working knowledge of shop math, decimals, fractions, and basic trigonometry.
  • Understanding of machining principles, tooling, and cutting parameters.
  • Knowledge of GD&T preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment.
