Job description

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Helpers to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. This position is available on first shift. In this role you will assist on the production floor, plan and organize events, and assist other employees with Spanish interpretation.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: 250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263

Responsibilities:

  • Handle loose parts and tools

  • Paint and clean fabricated air handling units

  • Organize lunches and plan events

  • Speak to employees on the production floor

  • Assist other trades employees in your department as directed (e.g. Welders, Pipefitters, Electricians, etc.)

  • Use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc.)

  • Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies

  • Work in a fast-paced team environment

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Reading and speaking proficiency in either English and Spanish required.

  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

  • Bilingual Spanish and English required

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in using iPads and computers

  • Ability to read a tape measure required

  • Ability to read blueprints preferred

  • Ability to work independently and on a team

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift

  • Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time

  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
