Job: Machine Operator - Technician- Making/Packing

Machine Operators are system experts in their assigned area and are highly functional in multiple areas. Machine Operators must also ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. Functions as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. Operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area. Machine Operators must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed.

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of packaging & processing machines preferred.

  • Must be willing and able to work & accept varying shifts & schedules.

  • Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment.

  • This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Performs all assigned activities & job tasks within a line or area.

  • Adhere to personal safety practices & operate equipment in a safe & efficient manner.

  • Able to assess equipment operating reliability & perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, adjustments & malfunction troubleshooting.

  • High degree of ownership for product quality, performs all standard quality checks and other quality related duties.

  • Performs QC tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, CCP and OPRP checks as required.

  • Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level.

  • Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems.

  • Loading of packaging material, clearing jams, resetting faults, changeovers, product quality checks report issues and maintain area GMP's.

Physical/Environmental requirements

  • Standing on a concrete floor

  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)

  • Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Forklift assignments require OSHA certification and getting on and off frequently.

Compensation:

  • Pay based on experience starting at: $22.73.

  • Shift differential of $1.50

  • OT potential

  • Annual bonus pay out
