Senior CNC Mill Machinist / Programmer (Setup Machinist IIโ€“III)

Blueprint Advanced Manufacturing (BAM) โ€“ Denver, CO

Full-Time | On-Site

Day or Swing Shift

$32โ€“$44/hour DOE + $3.00/hour Shift Differential After 5:00 PM

Build Precision Parts That Matter

Founded in 1969, Blueprint Advanced Manufacturing (BAM) is a Denver-based precision and production machining company with more than 50 years of American manufacturing heritage.

We serve aerospace, defense, industrial, and commercial customers while maintaining demanding quality standards. BAM is ISO 9001 Certified, with AS9100 certification in progress and targeted for completion by the end of 2026.

We're actively building the systems, people, and culture that drive long-term excellence. We proudly partner with Pickens Technical College and the Rocky Mountain Tool & Machining Association (RMTMA) to help develop the next generation of manufacturing professionals.

If you're a skilled CNC machinist who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership of your work, and producing high-quality precision parts, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior CNC Mill Machinist / Programmer who can confidently set up, run, and program CNC mills as business needs demand.

This is a hands-on position where you'll own mill work from print to first article, edit and create programs, design and build fixturing, and help elevate the overall performance of the shop.

Our Equipment

You'll work with industry-leading CNC equipment, including:

  • DMG Mori
  • Okuma
  • Doosan
  • Tsugami
  • Haas

Control Platforms:

  • Fanuc
  • Okuma OSP
  • Selos
  • Siemens

What You'll Do

  • Set up and run new and existing mill jobs independently (VMC and Horizontal Machining Centers)
  • Program and edit at the machine control while creating offline programs in Mastercam when needed
  • Design and build fixturing that supports efficient, repeatable setups
  • Read blueprints, interpret GD&T, maintain tight tolerances, and complete first article inspections
  • Troubleshoot tooling, fixturing, and programming issues to maintain production quality
  • Transition between operating, setup, and programming based on production priorities
  • Mentor operators and setup machinists while helping improve documentation and shop processes

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC mill machining experience (setup experienceโ€”not just operating)
  • Ability to confidently edit programs at the machine control
  • Offline programming experience (Mastercam preferred)
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and complete first article inspections
  • Ability to troubleshoot setups, tooling, and fixturing independently

Preferred Qualifications (Not requiredโ€”but these skills place you toward the top of the pay range.)

  • Fixture design and build experience
  • 5-axis setup and programming
  • Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) experience
  • Independent offline programming experience with a process improvement mindset
  • Experience with DMG Mori, Okuma, Doosan, Tsugami, or Haas equipment
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Okuma OSP, Selos, or Siemens controls
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay
  • $32โ€“$44/hour, depending on experience and skill level
  • Additional $3.00/hour for all hours worked after 5:00 PM
  • Schedule
  • Day Shift or Swing Shift (your preference)
  • Swing Shift: Mondayโ€“Thursday, 11:30 AM โ€“ 10:00 PM
  • Overtime available based on workload

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Employer-Paid Life Insurance
  • Retirement Plan
  • Paid Time Off & Company Holidays
  • Ongoing Training & Career Advancement Opportunities

Why Blueprint Advanced Manufacturing?

At BAM, you'll join a team that values craftsmanship, precision, continuous improvement, and professional growth. We invest in our people, modern equipment, and manufacturing processes because we believe great machinists build great companies.

If you're ready to take ownership of challenging work and be part of a company committed to excellence, we encourage you to apply today.
