Job Summary:
The Machine Operator Assistant supports production operations by assisting Machine Operators with daily tasks, learning equipment processes, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are interested in developing skills in manufacturing and advancing into Machine Operator roles.
Job Requirements:
  • Assist Machine Operators with setup, operation, and monitoring of manufacturing equipment.
  • Load and unload materials, including pipe and raw materials, as directed.
  • Observe machine operations to learn production processes and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform basic equipment cleaning and lubrication as assigned.
  • Support production needs by assisting with general labor tasks across the facility.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under close supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Education and Experience:

No prior manufacturing experience required, training will be provided.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to withstand varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in different positions for a very long period of time and ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time.
  • Must be able to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment required for each job task (Steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat).
