About Vantage

Vantage powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world's well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Strategic Portfolio Management Department

The Strategic Portfolio Management team partners across the business and technology organization to align enterprise priorities, platform strategy, and scalable delivery. This role will focus on Microsoft and Salesforce platforms, ensuring architecture decisions support business needs, enterprise standards, long-term scalability, and cross-system interoperability.

Position Overview

This role can be based in Denver, CO following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible). Or remote, US.

Vantage is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise solutions across Microsoft and Salesforce platforms. This role is responsible for translating business strategy into scalable, secure, and integrated technology architectures. You will serve as the technical authority across platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, long-term scalability, and cross-system interoperability. The ideal candidate brings deep architectural experience, strong integration expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders across business and technical teams in a fast-scaling environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Define end-to-end solution architectures across Microsoft, including Azure, M365, Dynamics, and Power Platform, as well as Salesforce ecosystems.

  • Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and governance frameworks.

  • Lead technical design sessions and produce high-quality architecture artifacts, including diagrams, design documents, and integration blueprints.

  • Design and oversee cross-platform integrations, including APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and data synchronization models.

  • Evaluate build vs. buy decisions and recommend scalable platform strategies.

  • Partner with Business Analysts and Product Owners to translate functional requirements into technical designs.

  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, compliance, performance, and maintainability.

  • Provide technical oversight during implementation to ensure alignment with approved architecture.

  • Identify technical debt, scalability risks, and modernization opportunities.

  • Support roadmap planning with forward-looking architectural guidance.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, data, security, and application teams to ensure ecosystem cohesion.

  • Drive architectural reviews and participate in governance boards or design authority sessions.

  • Additional duties as assigned by Management

Job Requirements

  • 6-8 + years of experience in Solution Architecture or senior-level technical design roles within complex enterprise environments.

  • Deep experience across Microsoft ecosystems, including Azure architecture, M365, Dynamics, and Power Platform, and/or Salesforce architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and platform extensibility.

  • Strong experience designing enterprise integrations, including REST APIs, middleware platforms, event-driven architectures, and data pipelines.

  • Demonstrated experience architecting scalable, secure, multi-system enterprise solutions.

  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation or modernization initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-native design principles and distributed systems.

  • Experience working within governance-driven or portfolio-managed delivery environments.

  • Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly to both executive and technical audiences.

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Salesforce Architect, or comparable certifications preferred.

  • Experience designing data models and understanding enterprise data architecture principles preferred.

  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts preferred.

  • Experience in asset-intensive, infrastructure, or operationally complex industries preferred.

Success Profile

  • Systems thinker who sees the full enterprise ecosystem, not isolated platforms.

  • Technically authoritative but collaborative in approach.

  • Strong decision-maker who balances speed with architectural integrity.

  • Comfortable operating in high-growth, evolving environments.

  • Detail-oriented, with a long-term scalability mindset.

Physical Demands and Special Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop or kneel; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $160,000- $180,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
