LVN Responsibilities

  • Administration and documentation of medications
  • IV and wound skills a plus
  • Providing patient care in accordance with federal, state and local standards
  • Facilitate Care Plans as dictated by patients' medical professionals
  • At times manage the activities of individual caregivers
  • Promote the highest quality care and services to patients in accordance to hospital policies
  • Respect and encourage the confidentiality, independence and dignity of patients.
  • Familiarize with emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment, and achievement of safe working practices.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward patients, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Performs other LVN duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

    • 1+ year of hospital or rehabilitation experience
    • Active LVN license (or equivalent state nursing license)
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
    • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
    • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environment
