Job description

Medication Clinic LVN
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LVN to help provide nursing care and support for our patients. In this role, you will work with an incredible team of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, RN's, LVN's, and Case Managers to provide the best nursing services to patients in our Adult Outpatient Clinics!
Here's what you'll do:
  • Work with an amazing team of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, RN's, LVN's, and Case Managers
  • Provide nursing services to patients in our Adult Outpatient Clinics
  • Perform venipunctures, IM injections, EKGs, Prior Authorizations and any other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Nursing
  • Provide education to patients and their families on psychiatric conditions, medications, and potential side effects
  • Obtain written consent for all medications
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff to provide comprehensive care
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and support
  • Works closely with clients and their families, physicians, APNs/PAs, case managers, other nursing staff, and staff from other departments to provide a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Ensure patient visits are accurately documented and completed by the end of the workday
  • Provide support and consultation to other team members and service providers
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and support
  • Responsible for maintaining all CEU necessary to maintain licensure, and attend monthly staff meetings
  • This position will work Monday - Thursday, from 8:00am - 7:00pm

The ideal candidate will have:

What you'll need:

  • One-year clinical experience in behavioral health, substance used disorders, and intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and be insurable through Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare.
  • Pass computer literacy and typing test

Hourly rate: $28.62
Annual equivalent: $59,529
Location: Conroe, Texas

Offenses that are not an absolute bar to employment but may be considered a contraindication will also be considered during the pre-employment process. Tri-County will also complete a driver's license check. All applicants, employees, contractors and volunteers will be checked prior to hire and monthly through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Office of the Inspector General (OIG) List of Excluded Individuals. All applicants are required to successfully complete a drug screening and a physical agility test prior to new hire orientation.
Applicants who are selected for a position in the Criminal Justice/Jail Diversion Department, TCOOMMI, and those who provide services to TCOOMMI, i.e., psychiatrists, nurses, etc., must have a Federal background check by fingerprinting through the FBI upon initial hire and annually thereafter.
Applicants who have lived out of state for two or more years from the date of submission of this application must have a Federal background check by fingerprinting through the FBI if they are selected for a position.
