Job description

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of YellaWood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking Lumber Taggers and Remanufacturing Machine Operators for the location in Tuscumbia, Alabama. This is a full time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package. Hours are 7am-3pm, additional hours to be expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Loads/unloads materials
  • Stacks/moves lumber
  • Assists in assembling fence panels and other products using nail gun
  • Attaches product tag labels to merchandise, material, or product with hand held industrial stapler machine
  • Checks items for proper identification
  • Reports quality deficiencies, shortages, and/or damaged goods
  • Keeps record of inventory and check items for proper identification
  • Ensures continued movement of lumber on conveyors
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods and use hands to handle materials
  • Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous production experience preferred
  • Lumber experience a plus!
