Job description

Summary

Everwood, is seeking a Reman laborer. This position will be responsible for building material from a list prepared by the plant manager to be shipped and affixing labels to packs of lumber. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Essential Duties:

  • Observes all safety requirements, including Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Stacks lumber or other wood products.
  • Keeps reman area clean at all times, including staples, cross-outs, and any other damaged material.
  • Load and unload lumber and timber from conveyors
  • Measure and indicate cutting lines on lumber, timber, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate record of job operations as well as up-to-date inventory.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste materials on completion of job operations.
  • Sort and arrange lumber, timbers, and finished goods according to sizes and grades to allow for easy identification.
  • Operate sawing equipment to make precise cuts.
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as dry kilns in effectively drying lumber.

Education and/or Experience:

No prior experience or training. High School diploma preferred.
