Job description

You’ll be part of the Legal & Compliance Department, a team that goes beyond legal support and acts as a true business partner to the company.
You will report directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance and work closely with internal stakeholders across all areas of the business.

Tasks

As part of our Legal & Compliance team, you will contribute to protecting and enabling our business while supporting the continued growth and success of Brussels Airlines and the Lufthansa Group.

  • Provide pragmatic legal advice on commercial, contractual, regulatory and aviation-related matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of national and international contracts
  • Support business teams and strategic projects by balancing legal risk with commercial objectives
  • Assist with disputes, claims, investigations and litigation matters
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical business guidance
  • Contribute to the optimization of legal processes, templates and ways of working
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Brussels Airlines and the Lufthansa Group
Requirements

  • Master’s degree in law
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a lawyer at a reputable law firm and/or as in-house counsel in an international company
  • Experience in aviation, transport, regulated industries or complex commercial environments is a strong asset
  • Excellent drafting and presentation skills; organisational and communication skills; analytical skills with strong attention to detail;
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player;
  • The ability to learn quickly and show initiative;
  • Strong legal judgement and ability to advise on complex matters with limited supervision
  • Commercially minded, solution-oriented & comfortable balancing legal risk with business objectives
  • Strong sense of ownership and resilience
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, French/German is a strong asset
