Role Overview
We are seeking an Account Manager based out of our Fernley, Nevada branch to join our Sales Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will manage an assigned territory across Northern Nevada, driving company growth through proactive business development and relationship management. This role requires regular local client visits and territory travel; candidates must reside in Nevada within commuting distance of our Fernley office to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management & Business Development
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current customers across the Fernley/Northern Nevada territory.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, operational questions, and escalations.
  • Conduct regular outbound calls and in-person site visits to present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales.
  • Prospect new opportunities across commercial, industrial, construction, and agricultural sectors.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive written proposals, quotes, and service agreements.

Fuel Solutions & Account Administration
  • Assess customer fuel consumption patterns, operational schedules, and tank storage requirements.
  • Advise clients on pricing structures, procurement strategies, and industry market trends.
  • Accurately submit delivery orders, routing instructions, and billing details into internal systems.

Account Retention & Growth
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across fuel grades, lubricants, tank rentals, and specialty services.
  • Monitor account volumes and margins to proactively protect profitability and prevent churn.
  • Maintain an organized daily schedule for client touchpoints, follow-ups, and field site visits.
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulations by participating in relevant professional networks and training.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Fernley operations, dispatch, and administrative teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution.
  • Actively participate in sales and operational meetings to share customer feedback and optimize regional logistics.

Qualifications
  • Location Requirement: Must currently reside in Nevada within a commutable distance of the Fernley branch.
  • Proven track record in outside sales, territory management, or B2B account management.
  • Strong pipeline management, local prospecting, and deal-closing skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • High self-motivation, solid time management, and disciplined scheduling habits.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle use).
  • Prior experience in fuel distribution, industrial supply, transportation, or construction services is a strong plus.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000/year, plus commission structure
