About the Role:
A well-established logistics and freight handling company is seeking a highly experienced Terminal Manager to oversee daily operations at a busy crossdock facility. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight while maintaining operational excellence and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all Crossdock terminal operations, including inbound and outbound freight flow, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Manage and lead a team of dockworkers, drivers, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor freight integrity, damage control, and proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and transportation teams to meet delivery timelines.
  • Conduct regular facility audits and safety meetings.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate terminal staff including 1099 contractors and W2 employees.
  • This is a night time shift starting at 10pm Monday - Friday.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in terminal or dock operations management.
  • Proven leadership skills in a high-volume freight handling environment.
  • Strong knowledge of crossdock operations, LTL shipping, and freight flow processes.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and OSHA compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to utilize a forklift.
