Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead our global cellular engineering organization, owning the design, deployment, operations, and evolution of mobile core, roaming, RAN, SIM/eSIM, and wholesale telecommunications platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale a geographically distributed engineering team.
  • Own 4G/LTE, IMS (VoLTE/VoNR), 5G NSA/SA core networks, roaming infrastructure, SIM/eSIM platforms, and RAN environments.
  • Drive architecture, deployment, operational readiness, and NOC handoff for customer and internal solutions.
  • Manage engineering roadmaps, network capacity planning, vendor relationships, automation initiatives, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee delivery of wholesale, MVNO, IoT, private mobile network, roaming, and NTN solutions.
  • Establish engineering standards, documentation, governance, and continuous improvement programs.


Required Experience

  • BS/MS in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years in mobile telecommunications engineering with experience designing, deploying, and operating carrier-grade mobile core networks.
  • Strong expertise in LTE, IMS, 5G Core (AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF, PCF, NRF), roaming, and SIM/eSIM ecosystems.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and growing engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting MNO, MVNO, IoT, private network, roaming, or NTN deployments.
  • Strong vendor management, stakeholder communication, and project delivery skills.
