Job Summary: Responsible for the efficient operation of the hotel front desk through responding to guests’ needs to achieve Odawa Casino Resort standards of quality utilizing established Standards of Service.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
  • Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
  • Receive and record reservations for accommodations either by telephone, e-mail, fax, or in person.
  • Register all hotel guests in current hotel computer software upon arrival.
  • Receive payment and issue correct change as required.
  • Address all guest inquiries and requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
  • Provide guest and fellow team member assistance, instruction, and/or guidance.
  • Resolve complaints.
  • Close guest accounts at the conclusion of their stay.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe comfortable work environment for all Team Members and guests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Attend all meetings as required.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Work at other properties as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope of the work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of basic computer knowledge, and ability to quickly learn specialized software programs.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must have excellent guest service skills.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have good math skills including the ability to correctly count change.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be flexible with shift and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events, etc., as needed.
  • You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
