JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description: Dishwasher

Position Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Manager on Duty

Who We Are

At Walk-On’s, every role matters—front of house, back of house, and everything in between. We bring Louisiana flavor and gameday energy to every shift, and our dishwashers are the MVPs behind the scenes making it all possible. Without clean plates, glasses, and kitchen tools, the game stops—and that’s why we need you on our team.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the backbone of the kitchen—wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and cookware so the team can keep serving up the win.
  • Keep the dish room spotless—trash emptied, floors mopped, cans cleaned, and everything in its place.
  • Set up and break down dish machines daily, making sure everything is operating safely and correctly.
  • Pre-soak, scrub, and sanitize pots, pans, silverware, and more—nothing leaves your station dirty.
  • Monitor water temperatures and cleaning standards to ensure guest safety and food quality.
  • Help keep the kitchen moving—assist teammates when needed, stay flexible, and hustle through busy shifts.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Take pride in your work—our guests may never see you, but they’ll know when you’re winning!

What It Takes

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working around wet floors, high heat, and loud noise.
  • Detail-oriented and able to keep areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitizing practices.
  • Positive attitude, team-first mentality, and pride in keeping the kitchen championship-ready.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone with hustle and energy who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A self-motivated teammate who takes ownership of the “dirty work” and does it with pride.
  • A reliable worker who shows up ready to play every shift.
  • A true team player who supports everyone in the heart of the house.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Work in a gameday atmosphere where every shift feels like you’re part of the team.
  • Flexible part-time hours—perfect for students or anyone with outside commitments.
  • A supportive culture built on camaraderie, teamwork, and winning together.
  • Growth opportunities—today’s dishwasher could be tomorrow’s line cook or manager.

Compliance Note

All dishwashers must follow federal, state, and local health and safety standards. Proper sanitation practices and food safety training are required and enforced.
