This is a remote, work-from-home position, and all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply in the continental U.S., with the exception of candidates from California, Maryland, Colorado, Washington, New York, Illinois, or New Jersey. Additionally, this is a 6-month contract position.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Waiver Processing Assistant is responsible for reviewing, processing, tracking, and maintaining waiver applications and related documentation. This role ensures that all submitted forms meet organizational, regulatory, and program requirements while providing administrative support to clients, providers, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all Secur-Serv requirements, policies, procedures, and management directions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of LSAC fee waiver processing policies and procedures.
  • Review large amounts of data with strict attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Review waiver applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Enter, update, and maintain applicant information in databases and case management systems.
  • Track waiver requests through various stages of the approval process and follow up on outstanding documentation.
  • Communicate with applicants, service providers, and internal departments regarding application status, requirements, and corrections.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of approval, denial, and request-for-information notices.
  • Maintain confidential records in accordance with organizational policies and applicable privacy regulations.
  • Identify discrepancies or missing information and coordinate resolutions in a timely manner.
  • Generate reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents as needed.
  • Support audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to waiver programs and services.
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with the mission, goals, and core values of LSAC.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of administrative, clerical, data entry, or customer service experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and staying current with technologies that benefit the team and our customers.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree
  • Experience processing healthcare, government, insurance, educational, or program-related waivers.
  • Familiarity with case management or document management systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and record-keeping standards

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sit Frequently at a desk

  • Continual close visual acuity for reading
  • Hearing and Speaking for communication within and outside of company.
  • May be required to lift/push/pull up to 10 pounds for set up/movement of office equipment,
