What is an LPN in a medical office?

LPNs, or Licensed Practical Nurses, in a medical office are healthcare professionals who provide basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. Their duties often include taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with minor procedures. LPNs also help manage patient records and ensure the smooth flow of clinical operations. Working in a medical office setting, they play a vital role in patient care and support for the healthcare team.

What are the typical responsibilities of an LPN in a medical office?

As an LPN in a medical office, you can expect to perform a variety of tasks such as taking patient vital signs, administering injections or medications, assisting with minor procedures, updating medical records, and supporting patient education. Collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals is common, ensuring efficient patient care and office workflow.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an LPN in a medical office?
