Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. In the role of a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at assessing and addressing the mental health needs of clients. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting detailed assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health requirements and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, groups, and families, employing a range of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
• Collaborating effectively with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for clients, including regular updates and meetings for integrated service delivery.
• Delivering crisis intervention services and emotional support to clients in acute distress, utilizing de-escalation techniques and appropriate referral processes when needed.
• Participating in community outreach programs and educational initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of mental health issues.

Our community mental health center serves a diverse array of clients, including children, teenagers, adults, and families affected by various mental health challenges. We strive to address issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship difficulties, tailoring our approaches to meet the cultural and individual needs of each client. This role will require a culturally competent therapist who values the importance of understanding the unique backgrounds of each individual served.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• Hold a master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of effective therapeutic rapport.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in providing care to clients from various backgrounds.
• Show strong organizational and time-management abilities, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment notes.

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, we particularly value those with experience in community mental health settings, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a background in trauma-informed care. Experience in conducting group therapy sessions is also a plus.
