The LPC will engage in a variety of impactful duties, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to formulate individualized treatment plans for clients, addressing their unique needs and contexts.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy for individuals, couples, and families.
• Developing and implementing creative, tailored counseling strategies that empower clients toward achieving their therapeutic goals.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring client confidentiality and data security.
• Actively participating in professional development workshops and training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health care and integrate them into practice.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to provide cohesive, coordinated care that supports the overall well-being of clients.

Our LPC will work primarily with diverse populations experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Many clients may come from marginalized communities or have encountered barriers to accessing therapeutic services, and it will be the LPC's mission to provide compassionate and effective support that fosters healing and resilience.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in clinical counseling settings is required, demonstrating efficacy in employing various therapeutic methodologies.

• Specialization or advanced training in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• A robust understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Prior experience working collaboratively within healthcare teams and utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.
