Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the ongoing biopsychosocial needs of clients, identifying specific issues and crafting personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, couple, and group psychotherapy that adheres to clinically established practices and ethical standards.
  • Actively collaborate with our psychiatry team and other healthcare professionals to participate in treatment planning, crisis intervention, and case management.
  • Engage in group therapy sessions with psychiatric patients, as well as serve as a primary therapist in individual and family therapy settings.
  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) software effectively to document client interactions and maintain accurate treatment records.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, state regulations, and best practices within the counseling field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with outpatient clients facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your holistic approach will help guide patients through complex life circumstances, providing them with the tools to improve their mental health and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical context is required.
  • Proven expertise in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-focused care is essential for this role.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in the mental health profession is expected.
