Melabiz Community Hub operates a youth drop-in center serving young people ages 12–24 in Maricopa County through a peer-led, credible-messenger model. We're seeking a licensed clinician (LCSW or LPC) to provide clinical mental health support to the young people and families in our care.
This role delivers individual and group clinical support to young people navigating instability — including trauma, housing insecurity, family disruption, justice involvement, and disconnection from school or work. As a drop-in center, we meet youth on their own terms: some are court-involved, many come to us on their own. Clinical care here doesn't happen in a silo. You'll work alongside peer leaders and program staff inside a warm, low-barrier environment where young people are met as whole people.
You'll provide trauma-informed clinical assessment, brief intervention, and ongoing therapeutic support to youth across individual and group settings. You'll coordinate care with our program team and outside providers, respond to crisis situations with sound independent clinical judgment, and maintain clinical documentation that meets funder, licensing, and compliance standards.
We're looking for an active Arizona LCSW or LPC in good standing with experience working clinically with adolescents and young adults — ideally justice-involved youth or comparable high-acuity populations. The right person is grounded in trauma-informed and healing-centered practice, comfortable operating as an independent contractor with reliable availability, and genuinely aligned with a strengths-based, peer-led approach to young people. Experience with court-ordered or diversion populations, crisis intervention, and group facilitation will stand out.
This is a part-time 1099 contract position at $30–35/hour, with telehealth flexibility available alongside in-person work at our Tempe center.
