• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour workdays.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Gateway Behavioral Health Services, you will be expected to:

• Provide individualized therapeutic strategies tailored to each client's needs, ensuring a customized approach to mental health support.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand client histories and mental health conditions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to diverse groups, including individuals, families, and couples, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, sharing insights and strategies to improve client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical records adhering to ethical and legal standards, contributing to the integrity of our practice.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training to stay current on best practices and new research in mental health.

You will be working with a diverse clientele from various backgrounds requiring different therapeutic approaches. The population you serve may include adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance misuse, ensuring that every client receives personalized care that fits their unique circumstances.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to counseling.

While not mandatory, the following attributes will enhance your candidacy:

• Demonstrated experience in a hospital or behavioral health setting.
