Position Overview

Gateway Behavioral Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team as a full-time, remote therapist. This role invites you to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals and families by providing therapeutic support and guidance. We offer a flexible work environment that prioritizes your professional development while you contribute to our mission of enhancing community mental health.

About the Organization

Located in Acworth, Georgia, Gateway Behavioral Health Services is a well-regarded community health clinic that focuses on delivering quality mental health care to a diverse clientele. Our consortium of experienced therapists not only fosters collaborative relationships but also aims to build strong therapeutic connections with each client. At Gateway, we take pride in nurturing a supportive and inclusive work culture that values transparency, respect, and continuous learning.

Work Environment

This position is designed for remote work, enabling you the freedom to operate from your chosen environment while still being an integral part of our community. Whether you prefer a home office or a café setting, our flexible schedule allows you to balance work and life effectively. The remote model leverages a sophisticated electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure that all client communications and records are secure and accessible, enhancing both your efficiency and the quality of care provided.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Gateway Behavioral Health Services, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and providing evidence-based individual and couples therapy tailored to the needs of clients across various age groups and backgrounds.
  • Utilizing a dedicated billing service to manage claims, track client accounts, verify insurance benefits, and develop payment plans, allowing you to focus on therapy rather than administrative tasks.
  • Maintaining timely and accurate documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and client records, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.
  • Scheduling and coordinating ongoing appointments with clients, while keeping your calendar organized to facilitate optimal time management.
  • Demonstrating the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches based on a variety of clinical presentations, which may include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Gateway Behavioral Health Services serves a wide-ranging clientele, including individuals, couples, and families. Our clients come to us with varying mental health needs, and we pride ourselves on offering culturally competent care that respects each individual’s unique background. You will work closely with clients from diverse demographics, ensuring that services are effectively tailored to their specific struggles and aspirations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must fulfill the following qualifications:

  • A valid LCSW license, allowing for independent practice in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, excellent therapeutic boundaries, cultural competency, self-motivation, and adept organizational skills.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule of at least 20-25 hours per week, with availability for a minimum of two evening sessions each week.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

  • Significant experience and training working with couples, enriching your therapeutic toolbox.
  • Advanced therapeutic methodologies, including trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or other evidence-based practices.
  • Experience in settings that prioritize collaborative approaches among healthcare professionals.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers competitive compensation, with an annual salary of $70,000 to $100,000, plus the potential for additional bonuses. Benefits include:

  • Access to health insurance to support your wellness.
  • A fully covered overhead costs policy, including furnished office spaces, necessary office supplies, EMR systems, and malpractice insurance.
  • The flexibility to establish your own work schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Gateway Behavioral Health Services, we believe in investing in our therapists' professional growth. As a member of our team, you will have opportunities to participate in workshops, continuing education, and supervision that contribute to your professional development. You will also be encouraged to explore specialties within behavioral health, expanding your service offerings and expertise.
