About the Role:

As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups through various mental health challenges and life transitions. Your primary objective will be to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote emotional well-being and behavioral health. You will assess clients' psychological needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and facilitate therapy sessions that foster healing and personal growth. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, you will ensure a holistic approach to client care while maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards. Ultimately, your work will empower clients to overcome crises, manage emotions effectively, and improve their overall quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Entry Level Qualifications:

    Masters Degree in Social or Behavioral Science required. Professional licensure is required. If not, must be qualified to make application for ALC, LPC, LMSW, LICSW, or LMFT licensure within 90 days of hire. Minimum of two years working experience in addictions treatment preferred. Previous training and/or experience to demonstrate competency with a special population (e.g., Adult or Adolescent population). Must be capable of administering CPR and being certified. Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful conditions. Maintain records and have good communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialized training or certification in group therapy, family therapy, or anger management.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and across various cultural backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
  • Additional credentials such as Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) or equivalent.
  • Experience in community outreach or mental health advocacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to clients' unique needs.
  • Perform comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans accordingly.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support clients experiencing acute emotional distress.
  • Facilitate anger management and coping strategies to assist clients in managing behavioral challenges.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate care.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging research in counseling psychology and behavioral health.
