Frontier Behavioral & Mental Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time role involves providing essential mental health counseling services to patients, ensuring their emotional, physical, and psychological well-being through therapeutic interventions and personalized care. Located in Gainesville, Florida, Frontier Behavioral & Mental Health Clinic has expanded into a comprehensive community health clinic. Our facility offers a range of services, including obstetrics, pediatrics, general medicine, family planning, and dentistry. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Frontier Behavioral & Mental Health Clinic, your role will include:

• Collaborating with primary care providers to identify, treat, and manage mental health and psychosocial issues.
• Conducting thorough patient intakes, including diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, to recommend appropriate treatment goals and plans.
• Providing brief yet impactful therapeutic interventions for individuals seeking mental health services.
• Assessing which patients require referrals to specialty mental health services, as opposed to remaining within the primary care setting.
• Initiating follow-ups to monitor patient progress and determine if adjustments to treatment plans are necessary.
• Developing relapse prevention plans to assist patients in maintaining stable mental health.
• Identifying patients at risk and formulating strategies to prevent decline in their conditions.
• Coordinating care with other healthcare providers, ensuring a holistic approach to patient treatment.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with both Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) guidelines.
• Offering education and self-management strategies that empower patients to take an active role in their own recovery journey.
• Consulting with clinic management regarding behavioral services and evaluation outcomes.
• Helping patients adhere to medical treatments initiated by primary care providers and addressing any challenges they face.

You will serve a diverse group of patients from varied backgrounds, each with unique mental health needs. Your expertise will contribute significantly to addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and relationship issues within the community. The emphasis on confidentiality and personalized care ensures that each patient feels secure and supported throughout their healing process.

To thrive in this role, it is essential you possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in the state of Florida.
• Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and various therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity with the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria.
• The ability to assess individual patient needs effectively and develop tailored treatment approaches.

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Previous experience in a community health center or a behavioral health setting.
• A proven track record of collaborative work within interdisciplinary teams.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
