About the Role

Sunrock is seeking a reliable Inter-Company Haul Truck Driver to transport aggregate and materials between Sunrock quarries and production facilities. This role primarily operates tractor-trailers or quad-axle dump trucks to maintain stockpiles and support plant operations, with occasional deliveries outside Sunrock facilities.

This is a hands-on driving role with steady hours, frequent overtime, and minimal overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractor-trailers, quad-axle dump trucks, lowboy, or flatbed as assigned

  • Haul aggregate, recycled materials, pallets, blocks, and equipment between facilities

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete driver logs

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance (greasing, cleaning mirrors, cab upkeep)

  • Safely load and unload materials at quarries and plants

  • Use hand signals, CB radio, and standard jobsite communication methods

  • Occasionally operate a concrete mixer truck as needed

  • Follow all Sunrock, OSHA, MSHA, and DOT safety requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 6 months–1 year of CDL driving experience (construction, quarry, or industrial preferred)

  • Valid CDL Class A (combination vehicle endorsement preferred)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions

  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
