Fred Smith Company is currently seeking an experienced Lowboy Driver (CDL). We are a self-perform heavy civil contractor working in North Carolina. Local candidates are preferred. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to bend, lift, stand, walk, climb, push and pull. Candidates mube be able to perform heavy lifting as needed. Pay will be commensurate with experience; all employees are eligible after 90 days for benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance and paid time off.
Job Duties/Requirements:
Follow all company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid incidents with the traveling public.
Operate vehicles/equipment in a safe and efficient manner and follow instructions from management
Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements and maintain DOT required logbooks
For Lowboy positions, move/operate and safely secure heavy construction equipment
Must have a valid Class A CDL license with positive driving history
Must have current medical examiners certificate (DOT med card)
