BOSS HEAVY HAUL
CLASS A CDL HEAVY HAUL TRUCK DRIVER
Position: Class A CDL Heavy Haul Truck Driver Type: Full-Time OTR / Regional Location: Lake City, GA
WHO WE ARE

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Safely transport oversized/overweight loads including heavy construction equipment, machinery, and industrial cargo
  • Operate lowboy, RGN, step-deck, and flatbed trailers
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Secure loads using chains, binders, and straps
  • Obtain and follow all state oversize/overweight permits and routing
  • Maintain accurate logbooks (ELD) and delivery documentation
  • Coordinate with dispatch, customers, and pilot car escorts
  • Keep truck clean and report mechanical issues promptly
  • Perform basic roadside repairs as needed

WHAT YOU NEED
  • Valid Class A CDL - REQUIRED
  • Clean MVR and current DOT Medical Card - REQUIRED
  • Minimum 5 years Class A driving experience
  • Minimum 2 years heavy haul / oversized load experience
  • Experience with lowboy, RGN, step-deck, and/or flatbed equipment
  • Strong knowledge of load securement regulations
  • Ability to read and follow permit routes
  • Must pass DOT drug & alcohol screening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience hauling construction, oilfield, or industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with oversize/overweight permit requirements
  • Experience operating multi-axle configurations
  • Doubles/Triples endorsement is preferred
  • TWIC card a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to climb on/off equipment and trailers
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. for load securement
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
